Review: Veronica: Stranded with the Sheikh by Jennifer Lewis

stranded with the sheikhReviewed by Shelly

This my first story by this author and it was a nice introduction. This novella is the prequel to her ‘Desert Kings’ series and tells the tale of how architect Veronica Baxter and heir to the royal throne Zadir Al Kilanjar met. This is a novella so the review is going to follow suit – no spoilers here, considering I’ve not even read this couple’s story (Zadir: Bought for the Sheikh) as yet.

On the same flight, Zadir is on his way to his best friend’s wedding while Veronica is on her way to meet a client for a design; these two find themselves stranded after their plan goes down. Zadir is smitten and attracted to Veronica. I wasn’t really sure of why other than her looks, but it’s a start. Veronica’s attraction is the same – based on looks. It’s a short read that sets things up nicely for these two. If the writing continues on the same path, their story should be interesting to say the least. He’s of Middle Eastern decent and she’s a black American – we’ll see.

Happy reading folks!
