Oh man I just want to give everyone in this story a hug. Wicked Pleasure Part 3 is an emotional roller coaster and as predicted, it was a total tearjerker. Cam, Jaci and Chase all went through the wringer and it was heart wrenching.
Cam is driving Jaci nuts. One minute he’s crushing her heart when he won’t sleep with her and the next he’s showing her a side of him that no one else gets to see. His walls are coming down and they are making slow but sure progress.
The problem is they don’t have time for slow progress. Cam needs Jaci to trust him ASAP because he, Chase and Ian all have a feeling that this situation with the Roberts is coming to a head. After spending years trying to destroy Jaci’s career – despite the fact that she has never spoken about what happened between her and them – they seem to be getting more nervous and spooked.
Jaci knows the time is coming and then the opportunity presents itself. The plan she and Moira have been working on is finally ready to go, and Jaci is determined to take her life back on her own terms. Only the big confrontation is not at all what she expected, and it is the catalyst for the big showdown.
The Roberts’ have proof of what happened to Cam all those years ago, and when they tell Jaci, Cam and Chase are standing outside the door. There’s no time to deal with it at the moment because all hell breaks loose, but you know it’s coming.
Jaci and Cam get back to his house and unbeknownst to them Chase is on the other side of the door and can hear Cam’s story. Everyone is devastated by it but the men take out their hurt and pain by physically fighting. When all is said and done, none of them will ever be the same.
I loved this entire story, but Part 3 was my favorite. It had suspense, a great couple, hot sex, and some scenes that will make you cry. I cannot wait to read Chase’s story because after everything he’s been through with his brother and Jaci, he deserves his HEA.
