Review: Her Purrfect Match by Milly Taiden

her purrfect matchReviewed by Shelly

Book 3 in Milly Taiden’s ‘Paranormal Dating Agency’ series didn’t tickle me as much as the first 2 in the series, and even worse, every time the heroine repeated her thoughts about being fat I just got sick of the constant reminders. You’re a big girl, I get it, and yes I know that the hero didn’t have a problem with your ‘extra’.

Alyssa Moran went to see Gerri at the PDA for a date with a shifter because all of her human boyfriends treated her like she had no value other than to provide room and board for them. Alyssa wants marriage and kids, that’s all, but so far she’s not had any luck on her own. Gerri has the purrfect match for Alyssa, a cat by the name of Grayson Green. Gray is his pack’s leader and he needs a mate, fast.

The future of Gray’s reign is greatly dependent on his ability to produce offspring, with or without a mate. He’d rather go with the mate route. As with the other two stories, once Alyssa and Gray meet things happen very quickly. The sex is immediate because Gray is so good looking and manly and he seems to want Alyssa and makes her feel so good… blah blah blah…

There’s a small fraction of Gray’s pack that doesn’t want Gray to continue his leadership and will do anything including killing his mate to make sure that happens. There’s a small bit of plot with that, but it’s over too quickly. I think that could have been done better and the word count would have still been okay if we heard less about Alyssa’s redundant whine about her figure.

The sex is frequent and repetitive, but it’s there. One of my big pet peeves and what will make me slightly nauseated is when I read these kind of lines ‘wetness from her pu*sy slid down her legs’. To me that either sounds like she’s got some kind of infection or just peed herself, either way that’s kind of gross in my romance.

Happy reading folks!
