Rachel is a little bit lost. She careens from job to job with stints at university collecting diplomas, but she’s never quite found her calling. On a birthday night out with her girlfriends, they each make a secret wish, and Rachel decides to sort her life out. She also gets rather drunk, yells Pussy loudly in a gap in the music, and ends up going home with a hot bad boy she pursues to the next bar.

Enter Jimmy. Said bad boy is tattooed, pierced and rides a motorcycle. Oh mama. He is happy with one-night stands as he’s in a hiatus from life and can’t handle anything heavy. Review: Hooked on Trouble by Kelly Siskind

Raven and Nico hooked up in book one of this series, but something happened between them that killed off the fireworks, and ever since then Raven has hated the big cop with a passion. Pretty early on in this novel, we find out Nico never called Raven after their special sexy night. They’d had an intense experience, sharing a whole heap of deeply personal stuff and creating a bond, so Nico’s ghosting just didn’t make sense. [Read more…]

Lily needs to break up with Kevin. Not just because of Sawyer, but yeah, definitely because of Sawyer. Our heroine is in a comfortable but past-its-sell-by-date relationship, and she needs to quit. The fact that her new design partner / boss is super-hot and she’s super in to him is only one of the reasons.

Shay and Kolton meet on a ski holiday in Aspen when they literally run in to one another on the slopes. He blames her for not looking uphill when she merged; she says he blindsided her. He’s the Asshole. She’s the Bitch.

They argue and she skis off, but they meet again later that evening when her friends see his – they also met on the slopes. Shay and Kolton’s spark turns into an inferno and they end up screwing in the bathroom of the guy’s lodge, despite still hating each other.
