Review: Intense Pleasure by Lora Leigh

Intense Pleasure is the latest installment in the Bound Hearts series by Lora Leigh and I was waiting for this story! During the last book Secret Pleasure we got to see more of Summer Bartlett (whose real name is Summer Calhoun), who presented herself as a cold agent capable of shooting someone she thought was a friend with no second thoughts. It was clear that there was more to Summer than the world saw so I was really looking forward to reading her book. There were a few slow moments throughout but overall this was a great addition to the Bound Hearts series.

Review: Only Pleasure Part 3 by Lora Leigh

Lora Leigh doesn’t waste any time getting into the action for Part 3 of Only Pleasure. When Kia returns home, much to Chase’s dismay, they find that her apartment has been vandalized and all of her belongings trashed. The words Die Bitch and Whore are spray painted on her walls, and she is left terrified and confused. Chase believes immediately that it is Kia’s ex-husband behind the attacks, but she does not agree.

Knowing she cannot stay in her trashed apartment, Kia returns to Chase’s where he can keep a close eye on her. Although badly shaken by what has happened, Kia is determined to go to work and carry on with her life. I really admired her strength during all of these attacks. Most of all, she is scared for Chase’s safety and it is that simple act that seems to break through his defenses. He decides to wait until they figure out who is after her before he finally tells her he loves her. But at least he has admitted it to himself. [Read more…]

Part two of Only Pleasure by Lora Leigh begins with Kia questioning whether she can continue having a “pleasure only” relationship with Chase, while she is also beginning to tire of having Khalid present every time they are together. We also start to see glimpses of who Khalid’s heroine is, setting up for his future story.

Chase Falladay is continuing to deny that he is in love with Kia Rutherford and his brother is becoming increasingly concerned about him. Cameron knows that Chase is holding himself away from Kia because of Moriah and he feels a sense of guilt over that. [Read more…]

Review: Only Pleasure Part 1 by Lora Leigh

Only Pleasure is the 10th book in the Bound Hearts series by Lora Leigh, and was reissued in three parts like Wicked Pleasure was earlier this year. Only Pleasure picks up six months after Chase was forced to kill Moriah Brockheim to protect his twin brother and his fiancé Jaci. The book starts off with the Epilogue which happens two years earlier. Chase, in his position as a protector for Ian Sinclair’s club, is forced to meet with Kia, the woman who fascinates him like no other and ask her to humiliate herself. After Kia’s husband assaulted her and tried to rape her, she confided in a friend about the exclusive club and that rumor was spreading fast. Chase cannot allow him that to happen, but he vows to do everything he can to protect her.

Chase Falladay is drowning in overwhelming guilt. He blames himself for not being aware that his brother Cameron was being pimped out by their evil aunt, and he knows that Cameron said nothing to protect him. Adding to that guilt, he considered Moriah a friend and he didn’t have any idea that she had been plotting his brother’s downfall. When he and Khalid see Kia in a bar alone one night he loses the fight to stay away from her, and he convinces himself that he can keep it strictly about the pleasure. [Read more…]

Oh man I just want to give everyone in this story a hug. Wicked Pleasure Part 3 is an emotional roller coaster and as predicted, it was a total tearjerker. Cam, Jaci and Chase all went through the wringer and it was heart wrenching.

Cam is driving Jaci nuts. One minute he’s crushing her heart when he won’t sleep with her and the next he’s showing her a side of him that no one else gets to see. His walls are coming down and they are making slow but sure progress. [Read more…]

After the way Wicked Pleasure Part 1 ended, I couldn’t wait to get right into part 2 and Lora Leigh did not disappoint. We start learning more about what happened to Cameron Falladay when he was a teenager that made him the way he is, and man it is heartbreaking. I can tell when we get the full reveal it is going to be a tearjerker. If you haven’t already read my review of Part 1 be sure to go and check it out. [Read more…]

Review: Wicked Pleasure Part 1 by Lora Leigh

wicked pleasureReviewed by Jaimie

Wicked Pleasure: Part 1 is the first of three parts. The story is part of Lora Leigh’s Bound Hearts series and was previously released as one book. I love this series so I was looking forward to reading this one, and it had everything that makes Ms. Leigh’s books so great.

Jaci Wright has loved Cameron Falladay since she was too young to really know what love is. After tempting and teasing him for years, he finally takes her home prepared to follow through. There’s only one problem – he won’t take her unless his brother is there too. Not realizing she’s a virgin and that she doesn’t really understand what he intended, she runs when she figures it out. Her heart in pieces, she leaves town. [Read more…]

Review: Nauti Seductress by Lora Leigh

Oh Lora Leigh – how I love you but hate you right now.  After the little tease we got in Nauti Enchantress, I just knew I was going to love youngest sister Zoey’s story, but man, Ms. Leigh outdid herself with this one.  Nauti Seductress is the newest, and I thought last, book in the Nauti series.  The story itself had plenty of twists that I didn’t see coming, but then at the very end of the book Ms. Leigh just slams you out of nowhere with a WTF ending.  I was reading the book at work (while pretending to be working) and I literally said holy shit really loudly when I read it.  I had to pretend it was a work related issue, but that’s beside the point.  This was INSANE. Review: Wicked Lies by Lora Leigh

Lora Leigh’s Men of Summer series is back after a nine-year gap between books, and it was worth the wait. Wicked Lies is the second book in the series and centers around Jazz and Annie.  Unlike the first book in the series, we see the action play out as it’s happening and I love a great suspense story. There were a few things that bothered me about the book and nagged at me as I was reading, but I was still able to focus on the story.

Jazz Lancing is known as a party boy who is popular among the ladies. Those who know him know that this reputation he has built for himself covers up a pain that he has been carrying around for years. He’s determined to seduce the sexy school teacher that arrived in town two years ago and has captured his attention ever since. There is something about her that he just cannot resist. [Read more…]

Review: Loving Lies by Lora Leigh

loving liesReviewed by Jaimie

Loving Lies was the first book in Lora Leigh’s Men of Summer series and was released in 2006.  The second book of the series, which I will be reviewing in a separate post came out in September 2015 and although I had read Loving Lies several years ago, I decided to do a quick re-read given the gap in time.  Slade and Jessie’s story has mystery, hot sex, a secret child and was the start of a great series. I’m glad Ms. Leigh decided to pick it back up.

Slade Colter was in and out of foster care as a child and has convinced himself that settling down just isn’t for him. Despite his desire for freedom, Slade knows he’s fighting a losing battle to stay away from Jessie – the woman that tempts him like no other. He tells himself he’s too old for her, she wouldn’t be able to handle his sexual needs and comes up with every excuse for why it’s a bad idea to touch her. [Read more…]
