Review: Not Until You Part 1: Not Until You Dare by Roni Loren

I’ve had this in my Kindle for too long, embarrassingly long. It’s a very short read, actually only 75% of the pages told the story, the rest were promos for other stories, and from start to finish took me less than an hour to read.  Even short, it still took me over a couple of days because I just couldn’t get into the characters.  This is part 1 of 8 in Roni Loren’s ‘Love on the Edge’ series.

This is basically an introduction to roommates – Ian and Pike and their neighbor, through the thin apartment walls, Cela. All three live have lived in the same apartment complex for over a year so there’s some sense of familiarity. [Read more…]

Review: The Ones Who Got Away by Roni Loren

This tale deals with the second chance romance of Liv and Finn—survivors of a high school massacre where two other kids took their deadly teenage angst out on their fellow pupils.

While the tragedy of that event frames this story, it isn’t the core focus, as the story picks up several years down the line when our protagonists reunite for a documentary being made on their experience.

Liv runs into Finn—her secret ex-boyfriend—at the filming, and the trauma of it all triggers her panic attacks and she flees. The full life she expected with passion and adventure is far from her overworked existence, and she realizes all she’s missing. Then she sees Finn again, and the two come together. [Read more…]

Review: Need You Tonight by Roni Loren

NEED YOU TONIGHTReviewed by Shelly

This is my first novel by Roni Loren. As book 4 in the Loving on the Edge series, I’m not sure this was the best place to start. One of the things I wish I had prior to starting this book was a content warning – BDSM, m/f/m, m/m/f (not between the H/h), exhibitionism/voyeurism and role playing including a slave scene which made me so uncomfortable that I glossed over it. So consider yourself warned. I’ve recently read a few of these stories where the heroine didn’t have a history in this kind of lifestyle and I’ve yet to find one where I truly understand the woman’s motivation for getting in to it. But then again, maybe I’m not supposed to. [Read more…]
