Review: The Luck of Love by Serena Akeroyd

I’ve read this author before. Menage Material, the first book in her ‘La Belle sans la Bête’ series, is splendid. I’ve re-read it a few times it’s so good. A Menage Made on Madison, the first book in her ‘The Federation’ series was decent enough that I didn’t write off the series. I’ve had a few misses, but the hits have outnumbered them.

This is the 3rd, yes I’m keeping score, book I’ve read (not all by the same author) with the following content and no warning. If you’re going to put it in a story, I don’t care but warn me first, please. [Read more…]

Shelly’s Favorite Books of 2015

I had a very good read from a new to me author, Serena Akeroyd. Menage Material, is the first in her La Belle sans Le bete series and was an absolute winner. It’s a menage (m/m/f) erotica set in France and tells the tale of a CEO, his botanist American wife and their cancer curing scientist lover.

Review: A Menage Made on Madison by Serena Akeroyd

If you’d like to enjoy this first book in Serena Akeroyd’s ‘The Federation” series, suspend all sense of what you think of reality. Trust me on this. I’ll be upfront and tell you that the heroes have 2 man parts each with the appropriate insertion of 2 man parts into a single woman part.

When Knox’s 2nd friend popped up, all I immediately had a flashback to the first  story I read with that additional appendage – Morgan Hawke’s ‘Interstellar Service & Discipline’ series which still happens to be one of my favorite overall series. That’s the only comparison though and well… of course if you have a 2nd c*ck – there’s no way that you’re from this world, so we’re in a futuristic sci-fi world. I’m not going to compare these two because Hawke’s series is heavy, very heavy S&M which is the complete opposite of this story. This is a much easier read and is still actually quite enjoyable. Review: A Thoroughly Modern Ménage by Serena Akeroyd

thoroughly modern menageReviewed by Shelly

I thought the first story in Serena Akeroyd’s La Belle sans la Bête series was brilliant. This, the second one in the series, has all of the makings for romantic tragedy: a grieving mother whose young son’s recently died, an injured soldier who’s witnessed more than his share of war and death, and a lawyer who’s got his own family history of a sibling’s suicide. I wasn’t as impressed as I was in the first go around. I thought there was too much here. It felt like a game of one-upmanship, almost like they had their own ‘who had it worse’ club. [Read more…]

Review: Ménage Material by Serena Akeroyd

This is one of the better ménages I’ve read in quite a while. Other than a couple moments of the author’s pontification on a few social norms, I really enjoyed this story. This is a new to me author and the first in her ‘La Belle sans la Bête’ series. Most ménage romances tend to stick to the trio involved and this one did to a certain extent. It’s rare to find one where there’s potential ‘exposure’ to parties outside of the trio’s world or anyone else who would normally give a crap about them anyway. Now before I go on, this is a millionaire story, both men are filthy rich, so there’s a lot that money will do. [Read more…]
