Review: Love’s Many Challenges by Zena Wynn

Reveiewed by Shelly

The latest installment in Zena Wynn’s ‘Nina Chronicles’ finds Nina and Roberto married. In all honesty, if Wynn continues this series – I’ll be right there reading it because I really enjoy Nina and Roberto and the family they’re building.

Nina. How do I put into words how much I enjoy her character? Written in first-person POV everything is told from our heroine’s perspective. The internal dialogue comes across as very honest with no semblance of fairy tale. Nina’s personality doesn’t lend towards histrionics either. She’s pretty consistent with her thoughts and actions. She’s been a solitude person for years. She was happily single before Roberto. That’s part of her challenge – dealing with another person, that being her husband Roberto, and taking his thoughts, words and actions into consideration. [Read more…]

DISCLAIMER: Somewhere along the line, I’m guessing that the author gained rights back to these stories and decided to rebrand, rename (Worth Fighting For) and republish. According to Goodreads, the story that I read is called Love’s Challenges and was published back in 2010 by Red Rose Publishing. The story that I have on my kindle is called Worth Fighting For.

Picking up direct after The Apology, the second book in Wynn’s ‘Nina Chronicles’ continues with the lives of Nina and Roberto. In this installment there’s more of Roberto – where he’s from and even quite a bit more on his previous marriage and his children. Nina and Roberto are now in a relationship. Everything is moving along nicely but Nina doesn’t get too complacent because she’s been down this road before and caution is a must. [Read more…]

There are no billionaires, alphas, or MC themes in this book. The main characters are two very ordinary people who happen to find each other in a sea of ordinary circumstances.

I’ve re-read this story quite a bit. This is Zena Wynn’s first installment in her “Nina Chronicles’. A clean, Christian themed romance about a woman who’s having a crisis of ‘what to do’. I’ve read many of Wynn’s books and most have been good, a few misses here and there, but majorly they’ve been good. I can’t remember when I started reading her work, but it’s been quite a few years and this series is one I’ve not been able to stay away from. I like the way that Wynn writes Nina’s voice. It seems like a familiar friend that I get to catch up with once I start reading. [Read more…]

Review: Fantasy Man by Zena Wynn

I’ve read and have liked quite a few stories by this author including the first 2 stories in her Fantasy Island series. I was skeptical about this because of the trendy content, but I decided to give it a go even at that steep price for 70 or so pages (the last few pages are promos for other stories by the author). The premise that a wife has fantasies isn’t unusual, but what I thought was a good premise – is that the wife wants to try something other than what her husband isn’t willing to provide – well that sounds interesting, because then it’s a battle of wills, right?
